The President hosts the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg

The President of Georgia hosted the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, at the Orbeliani Palace and discussed the process of Georgia's integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures, as well as the progress achieved.

The conversation touched on the ongoing war in Ukraine, Russia's aggression, and the importance and necessity of solidarity with Ukraine on the part of international partners and the community. Additionally, against the backdrop of increased threats in the region due to the war in Ukraine and Russia's aggressive actions, the parties emphasized the importance of Black Sea security.

The NATO Secretary-General once again expressed his unwavering support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.

During the meeting, the conversation touched on the holding of the presidential elections of the Russian Federation in the occupied regions of Georgia. The president noted that this grossly violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and is completely against international norms.

The President drew attention to the situation in the occupied territories, specifically mentioning the Bichvinta country houses, the military-naval fleet in Ochamchire, and the Sokhumi airport.
